THE FOUNDRY

I have never been inclined to cast my own sculptures. I am a perfectionist and prefer to leave the art of producing the perfect casting to a professional foundry.

I tend to push the boundaries regarding what is achievable in bronze.

I have a great foundry just a few kilometers from my studio.

Bruce Knight of Sculpture Casting Services is always prepared to go the extra mile for me.

The ancient lost wax process of casting bronze is very often passed down from generation to generation. The process is tough and exacting and not easily learned.  Below are a few photos of the casting process.

Without the co-operation and skill of a great foundry I would not be able to achieve the results I do.
